Skinnards

Some photos of the innards of Skinny's jeans:

Quite elegant i thought, just an Arduino controlled servo, rotating a crank attached with string to the tops of the 'thighs'. All the leg movement was mechanical, with a lovely knee joint inspired by Fergus' stag's knees. That is, carefully set up duct tape, and a foam knee cap.

Back in April, myself and some Dundee colleagues took part in Culture Hack Scotland, had a great time, and won what was essentially a 'most physical' prize! The protagonists were Michael Shorter, Tom Metcalfe, Jack Chalkley hand myself. The full story is now documented on Sync's site here, and that explains it better than I can!
